Eleftheria Arvanitaki
Research & Mapping
Creating an artist’s website is a unique project. It represents the digital footprint of their history, career, and art, requiring a custom, unique structure that reflects their brand and aesthetics. From designing the logo to creating the website’s architecture, selecting material, and planning distribution and promotion, the process demands an in-depth study of the artist’s personality.
For Eleftheria Arvanitaki, this study was a deep “dive” into her world. We were entrusted with her archive, and as we searched for the appropriate material for her website, we relived memories from a non-digital era, experiencing a wealth of emotion. We held in our hands a significant piece of the country’s modern music history.
The importance of photographic material is crucial to the truly successful creation of a website.
Photobanks offer an easy solution, but nothing can replace original and unique photographic and video material. It is no coincidence that artists’ websites are exemplary; beyond web design and specialized development solutions necessary for their profession, it is the professional original photos that add the decisive aesthetic touch to the final result.
After completing the screening process, we digitized the material where necessary. Numerous carats and gigabytes of material were now available on our hard drives. That’s when the concept of UI/UX came into play.
We had to find both the aesthetic and technical path that would allow us to provide website users with a complete yet enjoyable navigation experience, during which:
You will be able to easily browse a website with such a large amount of information and files without having to wait in the “queue” for file loading. You will also be able to quickly find the information you are looking for, without getting lost in a vast menu.
Tamila Kulieva
Functionality and Aesthetics
Tamila Kulieva is a multifaceted artist with a global perspective and a minimalist aesthetic.
Born in Russia and educated in Moscow, she has a wealth of cultural references and an extensive career in film and theatre in Greece. Now, she is embarking on a new path in directing.
You have likely enjoyed her performances on TV or in the theatre, or you might have read about her international awards in various media.
All this information needed a “home” of its own, a website that would bring together these vibrant elements and transform them into pieces of a puzzle.
In the beginning, was the… research – yes, we won’t get bored writing it.
Fortunately, we spent many hours on the comfortable couches of our office, having long meetings, discussions, and “excavations” in the sanctuary of Mrs. Koulieva’s archive. We used her lived experience as a guide for shaping the website’s skeleton.
With a treasure trove of material at our fingertips and a personality who understands the alphabet of modern language perfectly, we decided to follow the modern trend of “less click-more pleasure,” creating a One-Page Website. It takes digital browsers about three scrolls and a few clicks to take a delightful “walk” through her career and work.
Concise and comprehensive, with aesthetic consistency and functional ease: these references became our guides, and thus, tamillakoulieva.gr went live, carrying the “air” of its protagonist!
Γιώργος Περρής
Bridge of Art and Technique
George Perris is an internationally renowned performer with audiences worldwide seeking his songs, tour dates, and artistic news. He needed an online “space” to gather all the necessary information and provide easy access with just a few clicks.
It’s a simple equation, right? But let’s add one more factor because we love challenges: How will the audience be able to buy his albums and merchandise directly through his Spotify profile?
Yes, Spotify’s platform allows artists to link their profiles to an e-shop, but there’s a catch. The e-shop needs to be built on the Shopify platform to make this link.
After gathering all the requirements, we created two “constructions”: a modern one-page website in English and an e-shop, which is linked to both the website and George Perris’ Spotify profile.
A “stroll” and a scroll down on georgeperris.com is all it takes to find his new releases, learn about ticket sources for upcoming performances, and buy his albums.
We created a website to meet George Perris’ needs and simultaneously built a Shopify e-shop compatible with his Spotify account.
Create Shopify-Shop & Interface with Spotify
Artists worldwide want to sell their albums and merchandise online. For this reason, Spotify’s platform has allowed them to have better visibility and sales indicators through the Shopify platform. This is done by creating a bridge between Shopify and Spotify, essentially turning the Spotify account into an e-shop with a management dashboard and a unified accounting and storage base. This integration significantly boosts the artist’s profile, taking it to another level.
Γιώτα Νέγκα
Structural Construction
Giota Negka is a remarkable performer who unites the music scene of the past with that of the future. The construction of her website arose from the need to conduct digital campaigns effectively.
You might wonder, “Can’t I run digital campaigns without a website?” The answer is yes, you can. But not in the right way and, of course, not with the desired results.
Moving on to the construction phase, we began the design by diving into her archival material. We studied her aesthetics and history, collected and cataloged her photographic archives, searched her press archive, and cataloged her discography.
With the materials at our fingertips, we created a website that conveys her cultural essence, offering an enjoyable career tour and up-to-date information on her current artistic news.
